I’ve had to make a change in the line-up for the festival.
Twig won’t play on this night - but they’ll play at the same venue, as the main attraction for the party after Friday’s gigs at Lasse i Parken! This will be Twig’s last concert for a long while.
Twig will be replaced on Thursday - I’ll let you know by who!
I’d also like to take this opportunity to remind you there’s only TEN tickets left!
If you know someone who wants to come, please remind them right away!
June 30th, 2009 - Cosy Den 5 years: (compulsory) pre-booking for the Saturday now open!
Erik de Vahl completes the line-up for Saturday!
I’m very happy to invite you to a place that has a special place in my heart - the Gula Villan in the suburb of Haninge (a 20 minute train journey south of Stockholm)!
This house can be described as the “sequel” to Ultrahuset - a place where no less than 1087 alternative bands played between 1979 and 1988.
In later years, Haninge has been known as home for a new generation of bands. What I want to do with this day is have a couple of them playing, and share stage with people who haven’t visited the place before.
It’s also a great opportunity to show lots of travelling guests this amazing space!
Directions will be sent to those coming, more info on the artists, schedule and other info will be found here. Gigs will probably start around 3 PM.

The ammount of tickets is very limited.

Since the venue is so small, you’re NOT allowed to book tickets for more than ONE person in addition to yourself for this day.

June 8th, 2009 - Thursday - we’re running out of tickets!
Just a quick note about the Thursday of the Cosy Den 5 Years Festival.
As you probably know by now: those playing are MJ Hibbett (UK), Let’s Whisper (US), Twig and Johan Hedberg.
As you may not know yet since it was confirmed just the other day: DJs for the night are Camila from amazing UK label WeePop!, and Pierre from Jönköping/Gothenburg based indie night Don’t Tell Me That!.
The venue holds 90 guests.
I’ve released 70 of those as pre-booking tickets.
There are now (8th of June) just 14 left - and they will sell out very soon. When they do, I’ll probably release the remaining 20 tickets as well.
If you want to be sure to get in - hurry up and pre-book! To get one: send an e-mail to cosyden5years at gmail.com with your name and mention Thursday. You’ll pay (100 SEK) on the night.
The ticket (i.e. your name on a list) will be valid until 9PM.
If anything is unclear, I’ll do my best to remove that “un”!

Hello!
Hope you’re all enjoying a great start to this summer.
If you haven’t checked the event for a while, you’ll find that there have been LOTS of additions to the line up! Have a look, the line up is now so amazing I have to look twice every time…
Wednesday and Thursday has had a change of venue - these nights will now be held at the Southside Cavern.
You’re advised - especially if you’re travelling to Stockholm for this - to pre-book tickets for the weekday events. These venues are quite small and I wouldn’t want you to miss out on anything!
It will work the same way for the Saturday all-dayer - but on this day, it will be compulsory to pre-book. Further info on Saturday will follow soon!

Before we take care of the order/distro/sell situation regarding our fantastic new releases; records from Cosy Recordings by Moofish Catfish, Tada Tátà, Member of the Wedding and The Motifs (this will be done very soon), we would like to say we endorse what Ny Musik För Hållbar Utveckling are doing to broaden the Stockholm scene to make space for things we didn’t know we wanted but wouldn’t like to live without. There’s a slight beef going on and I’m sure you Swedish-readers will find eons of joy from the confusion that can be found in and around it. NMFHU help make indie a much more relevant and interesting phrace than it’s been for the last, eh, 18 or so years. We hope that we’re also drawing things in the same direction, because we enjoy this direction very much. And we wouldn’t like it to change, thank you very much.

Moofish Catfish, who’ve recently followed up their debut EP “On a sunbeam to your heart” with the album “Yours to share” (both on Cosy Recordings), have now confirmed six gigs across England!

And, while I am writing this post, STRAWBERRY FAIR are confirmed! Much to the delight of the Belgian readers, among others…
With just over three months to go and the line-up shaping up quite well, I thought it was about time to let you know a bit about how things will work for the visitor…
There will be NO FIVE-DAY PASSES (mostly because it would be a bit tricky since there are three different venues with different house rules involved; it’s a lot easier for me to make individual budgets for each day).
The TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY of the festival will take place at LANDET with around four gigs each night. This venue holds around 150 people. These evenings are - for now - planned to have an entrance of 80 SEK each. The line-ups will look quite a lot like this:

You will recieve a confirmation e-mail, and you will also be sent an e-mail the week before it all starts, asking you to reply if your plans - God forbid - have changed.
