We’re very happy to announce that the wonderful SPRINGFACTORY will join The Deirdres at Landet next Thursday!
After releasing EP’s on Bedroom and Canarie, they have an album out on Series Two.
For those of you who don’t know, this band is from Haninge and features Lina from the Big Picture and Peter from those Suburban Kids.
Springfactory has an album out on Series Two, based on EP releases on Bedroom and Canarie.
They make excellent pop songs. Listen!
August 16th, 2008 - Countdown for Wednesday!
On Wednesday the 20th, at least two great bands will play at Cosy Den’s night at Landet!
The night is called I love you - you pay my rent, and this means that I promised a month ago to put together something nice and let you pay what you think it’s worth.
CULKIN is a band from Stockholm’s southern outskirts that will definitely give us indie rock! Formed by the former and in some cases current members of bands like Starmarket, KVLR, Jenniferever, QGMR, Ellis the vacuumchild, Brisco, u.d.d.u.p. and more, Culkin will play their first show on this night. Thinking about this makes me very happy! Apart from listening to their songs, you should also check out their blog as it’s ace.

JSSFRK with MODELS INC is the other excellent act for the night! Jens Karnebjer has made awkward and rather brilliant pop songs for quite a while now. Jens says he’s inspired by the Swedish region of Dalarna, Kimya Dawson, Lou Barlow and Kindergarten Kisses. This night he will bring his Models Inc friends to help him make this something to remember! And I’m quite sure we will.

Yesterday at King Kong was fantastic, thank you all for dancing!
One of the songs played was “Christmas in mono” by THE AUTUMN APPLES, a duo from Umeå.
This will be featured on a single released on Cosy Recordings. Later this autumn, obviously.

McCloud Zicmuse is an American, who turns into LE TON MITÉ when he makes naivistic and surreal pop music. He’s lived in Japan for a long time, and he sometimes plays with Maher Shalal Hash Baz. He’s also released some split records with the Tenniscoats. Nowadays he is based in Lyon, France. His band looks different every time he visits a new city for a gig. Expect the unexpected!
DISCO LANGSAM are Matilda and Henric, from the cosier parts of Gothenburg but since a year based in Stockholm. Together they make music where they’ve only kept the most important parts. Still, their disco songs are funky enough to make us dance in our chairs! The melodies are quite fantastic, do come in time tomorrow, you don’t want to miss out on this!
As if this wasn’t enough, Anders and Ivan from the shoutbox crew will be joined in the DJ area by Sarah AKA Action Biker and Ville from Cats on Fire!

…that Jessica from the Would-Be-Goods just wrote to me and said we were “the nicest audience we’ve ever had!”.
Well, with a line up of Top Sound and them, who wouldn’t be? Thank you all for coming, and for defying the heat upstairs.
