July 13th, 2008 - The Paper Merchants - debut gig at Cosy Den!
I’m very proud to announce that THE PAPER MERCHANTS will play their very first gig at the Cosy Den mini festival at Lasse i Parken on the 31th of July!
The three songs they’ve put up on their myspage have gained them lots of attention, and now it’s time for the live experience of these young persons from Sundsvall in the North of Sweden. (Actually, Sundsvall is very near the actual geographical center of Sweden, but people rarely consider this.)
The Paper Merchants can’t be described in words. Bands that can be described in words are usually not all that good. Do listen for yourself.

/ People
/…/

July 9th, 2008 - Top!

The event pages for the night when Would-Be-Goods come to Sweden for the first time, Thursday the 24th, has said “+TBA” for quite a while now. I simply haven’t found a band to play with them, a band that would fit for the occation. Now I have! TOP SOUND have pop songs of some repute, with a nice touch of bossa. As influences, they list the likes of Serge Gainsbourg and Stereolab along with sleeping disorders. Listen for yourself on their myspace page!

Speaking of Top… DJ Alonzo from Top Nice will be on stage with Tafra at his gig on the 17th! Judging from what I’ve heard, it’s going to be pretty spectacular.

And tonight, Moofish Catfish will play at Send in the Clowns! Seems like a top day, this.
July 9th, 2008 - It’s not about you joggers who go round and round and round
Cosy Den will host a little mini festival on Thursday the 31th of July, at Lasse i Parken in Stockholm. And you will be there! What a great time we’re going to have!
Lasse i Parken is a 18th century house with a big garden, and located near the tube stop Hornstull.
Doors open 5 PM and there will hopefully be concerts throughout the whole evening until 10 PM when we’ll go for an evening bath on Långholmen.
If you’d like to play on this, do get in touch!

JAP ADAPTORS from Haninge (the Stockholm suburb that’s already brought Suburban Kids With Biblical Names, Springfactory, Florence Valentin and others for the world to hear) are the first band that I’ll happily announce for the line-up!
Jap Adaptors remind me a bit of early Eggstone and they’re definitely the sort of guys that you and I would like to spend the rest of this summer with.
Additionally, Anders and Ivan from Cosy Den’s shoutbox crew will play some of their favourite records!

We agree.
